Launched in 2015, the Learn4Life Mobile Learning Center (MLC) is a classroom on wheels that provides a free high school diploma program to students in rural communities who often have difficulty finding transportation to get to school. With the MLC, students are provided local access to a results-oriented, personalized educational experience that wouldn’t be possible any other way.
The MLC travels throughout agricultural areas in California, allowing students to benefit from a program that offers flexibility with one-on-one attention and personalized lessons. Students can meet with supervising teachers to review their personalized lessons, get help with assignments and complete tests. Students have the option to complete their assignments at home or at the MLC with the help of a free tutor and internet access.
Learn4Life plans to add a second traveling classroom later this year to address geographically displaced students throughout California.
