Adam G. missed a lot of school – for many reasons. He suffered anxiety due to experiencing homelessness and his father being in prison. Since he wasn’t in school much, he didn’t have many friends and never felt like he fit in. He missed too many days of school because it was difficult to get there on city buses from the various motels where his family sometimes stayed. So, the courts got involved to address his truancy and help look for solutions…which was to find a school that could accommodate his many challenges.
